When you're considering burning, contact the Wilson County Public Safety Officer, Edwin Baker, to determine if a burn ban is in effect.
If so, you will have to obtain a burn permit from his office Monday through Friday 0800-1600. The day of the burn you must
call the Sheriff’s Department to inform them when and where you will be burning.
